Sunflower competition 2008
Every year Sedgefield Town Council have a sunflower competition and every year the most amazing plants emerge.
The Mayor Cllr Tim Jeanes and Lady Mayoress came to school in December to present prizes for the tallest sunflowers. Spies have tried to gain access to the secrets behind these natural wonders. Eye of toad and wing of bat were whispered in some quarters, early experiments with genetic modification in others, yet others mention pig manure. Will we ever know?
